Tottenham Hotspur’s summer business may have kicked off with a bang, but the shopping has not stopped.

Last week, the North London side sealed a £29.6 million deal for Mathys Tel, their first signing of the window.

The young French forward, signed from Bayern Munich, celebrated in style by scoring at the U21 European Championships on the same day the deal was announced.

Tel showed flashes of promise in the latter part of last season, contributing two goals and two assists from just over 900 minutes in the Premier League.

He often operated on the left flank, where his directness and energy added something fresh to Ange Postecoglou’s attack.

Even with Heung-min Son staying on for another season and Tel in the squad, Spurs are still exploring the market for another left-wing option.

Their search has involved some big names. Eberechi Eze has long been admired, but Crystal Palace are reluctant to sell, even though his £68 million release clause could test their stance.

Alejandro Garnacho is another name that has come up. The Manchester United winger has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but Tottenham have not yet made a formal approach.

Garnacho’s high wage demands and a price tag north of £60 million have raised doubts within the Spurs hierarchy. That has led the club back to a familiar face.

Antonio Nusa, once on the verge of joining a Premier League rival, is now firmly back in Tottenham’s sights.

The Norwegian winger nearly joined Brentford in early 2024 before failing a medical due to knee and back concerns.

Instead, Nusa made the move to RB Leipzig. He went on to feature 40 times across all competitions last season, scoring three goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances.

Despite his modest numbers, his potential is still widely recognised, especially by Spurs, who believe Antonio Nusa could offer the kind of direct threat they still crave out wide.

According to Ben Jacobs (via Spurs Web), Antonio Nusa is a name to watch as Tottenham continue to build a dynamic and youthful squad this summer.

And also, with Thomas Frank taking over as the manager, he would be keen to sign a player he once wished to manager at Brentford.
