Last Friday, Bayern Munich got their Bundesliga season off to an absolute flyer with a 6-0 win against RB Leipzig.
As usual, Harry Kane was amongst the goals, scoring a hat-trick. Luis Diaz scored and provided two assists on his league debut.
Another player who starred was Michael Olise, who scored a brace in the first half with two great finishes.
The Frenchman has been the subject of media speculation recently – with some suggesting he has a release clause in his contract.
However, there are now reports stating the contrary.
As per Florian Plettenberg, Olise does not have a release clause in his contract.
He states that PSG already have him on their radar for upcoming windows, but Bayern want to keep him for a long time.
Should this news be true, it will come as a huge relief for everyone associated with the club.
Last season, the 23-year old was arguably Bayern’s best player.
He scored 12 league goals whilst also creating 32 big chances – the most of anyone in Europe’s top five leagues.
That too with the Bundesliga having fewer games than three of the four other leagues.
His incredible creativity and ever improving eye for goal makes him one of the best forwards in world football at the moment.
Maybe he will return to the Premier League one day, but Bayern will be hoping that isn’t for many, many years yet.
