West Ham endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked in January as the club sat just seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Former Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea manager Graham Potter arrived as his replacement, but results failed to pick up.

West Ham beat Arsenal and Leicester City in back-to-back games at the end of February.

They would not win another game until May 11th, when they beat Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Two wins in their last three games will give West Ham fans hope going into the upcoming Premier League season and they will want to improve on their 14th place finish.

The Hammers made their fifth most expensive signing of all-time, centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo arriving for a fee of €40 million to make his loan move permanent.

Long servants Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell, Vladimír Coufal and Lukasz Fabianski all said their goodbyes this summer.

Danny Ings and Carlos Soler also left the club this summer, the latter returning to Paris Saint-German after a loan spell with the London side.

None of these departures have earned the club money, except money saved from their wage bills.

There looks to be one of their midfielders about to leave the club for a fee of £30 million.

According to reports, West Ham midfielder Lucas Paquetá is open to leaving the club.

Brazilian side Flamengo are said to be particularly keen on acquiring Paquetá’s services.

This would give Paquetá a chance to return to his native Brazil.

With off the field issues and a dip in performances last season, a move for Paquetá may be a welcomed change for both parties.

There is also interest from Saudi Arabia as Paquetá looks unlikely to be donning a West Ham shirt next season.
