Real Madrid are at the starting phase of a new era at their club.
After a successful stint with Carlo Ancelotti, they have appointed Xabi Alonso as their new manager.
The appointment of Xabi Alonso as the Real Madrid manager was inevitable after he won the Bundesliga by dethroning Bayern Munich.
So, when Carlo Ancelotti decided to join the Brazilian national football team, Xabi Alonso was the first choice for the Los Blancos.
The former Real Madrid player won the UEFA Champions League with the Los Blancos in 2014.
However, Real Madrid failed to win a single trophy in the recently concluded season.
FC Barcelona outshined them in every domestic competition.
Also, Real Madrid lost to Arsenal and got knocked out of the Champions League.
That is why the upcoming season under Xabi Alonso will be very important for Los Blancos as they want to reclaim their throne as the best team in Spain.
So, they will have to improve their squad. Yes, you don’t often hear this about Real Madrid, but they do need to sign a midfielder.
The loss of Luka Modric will leave a huge void in the Madrid squad. That is why Real Madrid are looking to find a suitable midfielder.
In the meantime, Xabi Alonso believes he has found a perfect replacement for Luka Modric from a Premier League side and the player can help Real Madrid win the Champions League next season.
According to a report from Fichajes, Xabi Alonso has told Real Madrid to sign Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentine World Cup winner has been brilliant this season for the Reds helping them win the Premier League for the second time in their history.
Mac Allister helped Liverpool a lot in controlling the game in the midfield.
Xabi Alonso wants to have such a player who can dictate play from the midfield.
That is why the new Real Madrid boss is adamant to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Liverpool this summer.
