Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a crucial summer as Roberto De Zerbi continues reshaping his squad. The North London club want significant improvement after another disappointing Premier League campaign.
Several new faces could arrive before the transfer window closes. Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have already completed moves to Tottenham.
Meanwhile, talks continue over potential deals for Jan Paul van Hecke and Savinho. However, arrivals are only one part of the club’s plans.
Tottenham must also make important decisions regarding several current players. Recent reports have linked Luka Vuskovic with a possible departure after Brighton submitted a £30 million bid.
Questions have also emerged regarding the future of another defender. Destiny Udogie has attracted interest from Italy following an injury-disrupted season.
The full-back remains highly regarded despite enduring a difficult campaign. Persistent fitness problems prevented him from establishing consistent momentum.
The Italian suffered five separate injuries during the season and missed 20 matches across all competitions.
Those setbacks limited his impact and created uncertainty surrounding his long-term role. Nevertheless, Tottenham have now made their position clear.
According to TEAMTalk, Roberto De Zerbi does not want to lose Udogie this summer. The report states that the Tottenham head coach considers the defender an important part of his plans.
As a result, the club has informed interested teams that they do not want to sell. Juventus and Fiorentina have both made enquiries about the player’s availability.
However, Tottenham remain determined to keep hold of the 23-year-old. Club officials reportedly believe Udogie can become a key figure under De Zerbi.
Now, the report suggests there is one scenario that could force further discussions. An offer worth around £50 million would at least encourage Tottenham to reconsider their position.
However, even a bid at that level may not guarantee a deal. Instead, Tottenham appear focused on securing Udogie’s future by offering him an improved contract.
