Harry Kane to reject Barcelona move

Harry Kane to sign new Bayern Munich contract as Barcelona approach rejected.

Barcelona needed a striker after Lewandowski left.

They looked at every available option.

And one name kept appearing above the rest.

A 32-year-old Harry Kane.

The most lethal striker in Bundesliga history.

They made their move.

However, they were firmly shut down.

Harry Kane to sign new Bayern Munich contract as Barcelona approach rejected

According to the New York Times, Kane is set to extend his stay at Bayern Munich, with the England captain having made clear through his representatives that he is happy in Germany, fully committed to the club, and not open to a transfer despite Barcelona’s informal enquiry.

The Catalan club reached out to Kane’s camp to gauge whether a move might be possible.

The answer was immediate and unambiguous.

No.

Kane had already given his clearest possible public indication that Bayern Munich remain his priority.

In November last year, he described a departure as “very unlikely.”

In January, he opted against triggering a release clause in his contract that would have been activated had he communicated his intention to leave by a specific deadline.

He didn’t.

That decision said everything.

The contract discussions between Kane and Bayern Munich are ongoing.

With the 32-year-old understood to be pushing for a deal until 2030, which would keep him in Bavaria until the age of 36.

Back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

And a statue being mentioned in Munich.

At the World Cup, Kane is in equally unstoppable form.

Two goals against Croatia in the 4-2 opening victory.

Another in the 2-0 win over Panama.

England have qualified from Group L with Kane as their talisman.

His focus is entirely on taking England deep into the knockout rounds.

The Bayern Munich contract will be addressed when the tournament is over.

But the destination is already clear.

Barcelona wanted him.

He said no.

And Munich is where he intends to stay.
