Tottenham Hotspur have transformed their squad after surviving a dramatic 2025–26 Premier League campaign.
Roberto De Zerbi has already overseen a busy transfer window as Spurs attempt to leave last season’s struggles behind. The North London club have strengthened several areas of the squad.
Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dúbravka have all arrived, while Tottenham also secured club-record deals for Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.
Meanwhile, Luka Vuskovic has departed after completing a £50 million move to Brighton.
Despite those additions, Tottenham remain active in the market as De Zerbi looks to add more quality before the new season begins.
The club are now exploring another ambitious move following their heavy investment in defence and midfield. They are already tracking Crysencio Summerville.
Now, according to Matteo Moretto, Tottenham have asked for information about a potential deal for Martin Baturina.
The Como playmaker has emerged as another player on Spurs’ radar as they continue assessing options for the remainder of the transfer window.
Baturina enhanced his reputation during the 2025–26 season by establishing himself as one of Serie A’s leading playmakers.
The Croatia international also caught the eye on the world stage after scoring in his country’s 4-2 defeat to England at this summer’s World Cup.
However, Tottenham could face a difficult task if they decide to pursue the transfer. Also, Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Baturina’s situation.
Como value the 23-year-old at £70 million and have no intention of selling him during the current window as they prepare for their first Champions League campaign under Cesc Fabregas.
Any move would also raise questions about Tottenham’s midfield balance. Fernandes and Tonali are expected to occupy the two central midfield positions.
Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski already provide options further forward.
