Richarlison appears set for another transfer twist after rejecting the chance to return to Everton on deadline day.

Richarlison appears set for another transfer twist after rejecting the chance to return to Everton on deadline day.

The Brazilian endured an unsettled 2025–26 campaign with Tottenham Hotspur despite scoring 11 Premier League goals and 12 across all competitions.

He also registered five assists in 42 appearances as Roberto De Zerbi’s side battled to avoid relegation on the final day.

Richarlison has 10 months remaining on his current Tottenham contract, which expires in June 2027.

However, Spurs hold an option to extend that agreement by another year, potentially keeping him under contract until 2028.

Everton explored bringing their former forward back before the English transfer deadline and negotiated a £35 million package with Tottenham.

That agreement consisted of £25 million upfront and another £10 million in potential add-ons.

However, Richarlison ultimately rejected the move after becoming frustrated with how negotiations surrounding his future were being handled.

He subsequently addressed the situation on Instagram and made clear that he intended to retain control over his next career decision.

Although the Premier League transfer window has now closed, another opportunity has quickly emerged outside England.

According to Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Richarlison has verbally agreed to join Trabzonspor and is pushing Tottenham to sanction his departure.

The Turkish club had already submitted an offer for the 29-year-old before reaching an agreement with the player.

A move would see Richarlison join a squad already containing former Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Fabinho.

Trabzonspor have been searching for another attacking option after also considering other possibilities during the summer.

Richarlison is therefore pushing for Tottenham to approve the transfer before the Turkish window closes.

Whether Spurs accept Trabzonspor’s offer remains unresolved, but the forward has already agreed personal terms over the proposed move.
