Tottenham Hotspur could return to the transfer market for further additions after rebuilding Roberto De Zerbi’s squad during the summer.
Spurs invested heavily in several positions following consecutive 17th-place Premier League finishes.
Sandro Tonali joined from Newcastle United for £92.5 million, while Tottenham paid £85m to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham.
Additionally, Savio arrived from Manchester City for £75 million. Spurs also signed Tosin Adarabioyo and brought Mykhailo Mudryk in on loan from Chelsea.
However, Tottenham have struggled to translate their summer investment into Premier League results during the opening weeks.
De Zerbi’s side lost their first two league fixtures against Brentford and Newcastle before drawing 0–0 with Nottingham Forest.
Spurs therefore have one point from three matches and are yet to score a Premier League goal this season.
Despite the summer overhaul, another attacking player has now emerged on Tottenham’s radar ahead of future transfer windows.
According to Fussball Daten, Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Stuttgart attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
The 22-year-old has previously played in England with Leicester City and is currently under contract with Stuttgart until 2030.
El Khannouss can operate centrally as a number 10 or from the flanks, providing options across several attacking positions.
However, Tottenham face competition from other Premier League clubs. Newcastle United, Everton and Crystal Palace are also monitoring the Morocco international.
The interested clubs are reportedly gathering information about El Khannouss, although there is currently no indication that Tottenham have submitted an official approach.
Stuttgart could demand around €55 million for the attacker if one of his admirers decides to pursue a transfer.
Therefore, it remains unclear whether Tottenham or another interested Premier League club would meet that valuation.
For now, Spurs are monitoring El Khannouss as they consider potential future additions to De Zerbi’s attacking options.
