Chelsea shocked the world by defeating PSG in the Club World Cup final.

After what PSG did to Real Madrid (beat the Los Blancos 4-0), most people predicted that the final would be a one-sided affair.

Well, the final actually turned out like that, but Chelsea outplayed PSG in every department to win the inaugural rebranded Club World Cup.

Cole Palmer was the standout performer in that game. The former Manchester City man scored twice, and the latest Chelsea signing Joao Pedro netted the third goal to seal the victory for the London side.

After the game, there was one clear thing: the competition among Chelsea’s forwards means some of them will have to look for minutes elsewhere.

Nicolas Jackson did not get a minute in the final. The Senegalese striker is attracting interest from both Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Also, there was another player who signed for Chelsea last year from Barcelona, and played just 39 minutes in the Club World Cup.

Marc Guiu is left frustrated with the lack of game time, and he could be the forward leaving this summer.

According to The Athletic, the 19-year-old is already attracting interest from Ipswich Town.

But the Spaniard has no interest in joining the Championship side.

However, due to the lack of game time, he was snubbed from the U-19 Spain squad for the European championship.

With the arrival of Jamie Gittens, the competition is stronger than ever. And, as Guiu is at the bottom of the pecking order, leaving Stamford Bridge will be a wise move.

In the entire 2024/25 season, Marc Guiu appeared in 16 games and scored 6 goals. All of his goals came in the Conference League, which Chelsea went on to win.

There is no doubt Marc Guiu has the calibre to score goals. But, for that, he needs to play. It looks like if he wants to continue scoring goals, he needs to play elsewhere.
