Newcastle United are having a forgettable transfer window. Whichever player they are targeting, some other clubs are swooping in to hijack those deals.
This will leave the Newcastle board unhappy because they are looking to make significant signings this summer after securing Champions League football.
However, things are not looking good for the Magpies. They were seriously pursuing a deal for Benjamin Sesko. They have placed two bids so far, and RB Leipzig are yet to respond to their last offer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have also placed a bid for Sesko. And, the Slovenian is reportedly open to joining Manchester United.
Newcastle also have an eye on PSG striker Goncalo Ramos. The Portuguese striker is looking for more game time this season as he looks to prepare for the World Cup next year.
But, Luis Enrique cannot guarantee more game time, and that is why Ramos wants to leave the Parisians this summer.
Newcastle United have shown interest in signing Ramos in case they miss out on signing Sesko. Now, they are once again facing competition from Liverpool for the signing of Goncalo Ramos.
Liverpool have already beaten the Magpies once in a transfer race this summer with the signing of Hugo Ekitike.
Now, Newcastle is all set to be in another transfer battle, this time with Aston Villa for a Chelsea star.
According to Ben Jacobs, Newcastle United are exploring options to sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. The Magpies have initiated contact with Chelsea.
Aston Villa are also interested in Jackson, according to CaughtOffside. They are even ready to sell Ollie Watkins to accommodate Nicolas Jackson.
Unai Emery wants to bring the Senegalese to Villa Park. Now, it will be interesting to see which club make the first move for Jackson.
Yoane Wissa from Brentford is another option for Newcastle United.
Nicolas Jackson is another name on Newcastle’s list of attacking options and Chelsea are open to a sale.
There have been some initial club-to-club talks already.
Brentford’s Yoane Wissa is another target with the player pushing to join Newcastle.
