The Citizens are trying to lure the Dutch international to the Etihad, and that is why they have already made contact with his agent, Ali Barat.
This could be a positive sign for Simons’ club, RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old was eager to leave the club this summer. But he was not getting concrete offers.
Now, with two English giants locking horns for the Dutchman, the German club will be looking to start a bidding war and raise the transfer fee as much as possible.
