Crystal Palace have had an eventful summer since winning the FA Cup at the end of last season.

Due to ownership issues, they have been demoted from the UEFA Europa League to the Conference League.

They also secured the FA Community Shield, beating Liverpool in a penalty shootout after an eventful 2-2 draw.

It has been far from eventful when it comes to transfers, with just under £2 million spent on players the summer, and no money earns from player sales.

However, the futures of several high-profile players are under major media speculation.

There are reports that Palace could be braced for the exit of midfielder Adam Wharton next summer, who is currently reported to be valued at £100 million.

Attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze and centre-back Marc Guehi have also both been strongly linked with moves away from the club during this window, to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool respectively.

With Palace currently playing Chelsea, there are many that feel that this could be their last game for the club.

Speaking of Chelsea, one of their former players could be set for a move to Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace targeting former Premier League midfielder

According to reports, Palace are looking to bring former Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher left Chelsea for Atlético Madrid in August 2024 for a fee of £33 million.

Despite making 50 appearances for the club last season, Gallagher saw his minutes slowly decrease the more the campaign went on.

A La Liga rule could also see his time in the Madrid come to an end, with only three non-EU players allowed for any single team in Spain.

With the addition of Botafogo midfielder Tiago Almada, this has further speculation of an exit from Spanish capital to England this summer.

Gallagher, who once wore the captain’s armband at Chelsea, brings Champions League experience.

This is in addition to his wealth of Premier League experience, and at the age of 25, he can still bring a lot to Palace should they sign him.
