Last weekend, Crystal Palace confirmed the departure of Eberechi Eze to Arsenal after five seasons at the club.

After scoring the winner in the FA Cup final to win the club their first ever trophy, he will be a club legend forever.

Nevertheless, it does give the club little time to find a replacement, with the transfer window closing in less than a week.

However, they may have found someone to try and plug the gap.

According to Matteo Moretto, Palace have a verbal agreement with Villarreal to sign Yeremy Pino.

He also reports that the player has agreed personal terms to join the South London side.

As per Moretto, the fee will be 30 million Euros.

Pino is a player who has played on both wings in his career and up front.

He is not the quickest player, but has a lot of technical qualities and a nose for goal.

Based on that, he feels a good fit for Oliver Glasner’s system, as one of the two number tens playing behind the striker.

The 22-year old has 15 caps for Spain, scoring three times, and replaced Lamine Yamal in the 2025 Nations League final in June.

It is impossible for Palace to replace Eze like for like, but they can try and replace him in the aggregate.

If they are able to sign Pino and one more attacking midfielder, it will feel like they’ve done the best they can.
