It’s safe to say it has been a whirlwind start to the season for Leeds United.

They kicked off their season with an impressive 1-0 win at home to Everton.

Five days later, they were brought back down to earth with a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal.

That said, the probability of beating Everton was probably less likely than a hammering at The Emirates.

So in the league, it wasn’t a terrible start at all. Especially as no promoted side won until October last season.

However, they then did get knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

A side that can barely string together 11 players. A club in absolute turmoil.

New signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed several sitters, and skied his penalty.

It was known before the game that Leeds needed attacking players, never mind after.

Well, it looks like they are addressing that.

According to Ben Jacobs, Daniel Farke’s side are in advanced talks to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Argentine attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at Leicester City.

Despite relegation, he impressed with his performances. He scored five goals and created seven big chances in just 14 starts.

Having a player with that sort of output, albeit in a small sample size, will massively benefit Leeds.

At just 20-years old, he can clearly get much better too. He was signed by Brighton at just 18 years old.

We all know their record with signing young players – especially those from South America.

Plus, with a simple loan deal, this frees up funds to bring in another – much needed – attacker alongside Buonanotte.
