It’s safe to say it has been a very busy transfer Deadline Day.

Both in the English Premier League, EFL, and across Europe.

Many deals that haven’t been announced are expected to still go through.

Such as the British transfer record that would see Alexander Isak join Liverpool.

However, it looks like he will be the only signing.

As per David Ornstein, Liverpool’s deal for Marc Guehi is now off.

He reports that although he had his medical, issues with Crystal Palace finding a replacement has stopped the move.

This comes as a big blow for Liverpool.

Ibrahima Konate has had an extremely shaky start to the season.

He was better against Arsenal, but then picked up another injury. He has only played more than 20 league games once in four years at the club.

Meanwhile Joe Gomez has always struggled to stay fit, and Giovanni Leoni is still just a kid.

This is no doubt not the last we will hear regarding this saga.

Still, at least until January, Palace will be relieved.

Oliver Glasner will have him at his disposal for the entirety of their league phase campaign in the Conference League.

He had been very outspoken regarding the importance of keeping Guehi unless he was adequately replaced.

With Glasner playing three centre backs, they needed more than just one player to replace the 25-year old.

We will see what happens in the winter transfer window, but for now, Palace have still got their man.
