It has been an eventful past few months for Tottenham Hotspur.
They ended a 17-year wait for a trophy in May, as they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League final.
Just a month later and Ange Postecoglou, who guided the club to this success, was sacked.
This came as a result of a 17th place finish in the Premier League, a season where they could have been in further danger of relegation had the three promoted sides put up more of a fight.
Tottenham also saw club legend Heung-min Son depart after a ten-year spell.
Whilst they received just £35.8 million (€41.5 million) in player sales, they spent over £170 million (€210.6 million) in signings.
This includes attacking talent such as Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus, as well as making the loan deals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso permanent.
One player that was linked heavily with a move away from the club was midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Tottenham signed Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion back in the summer of 2022, for a fee of £30 million.
In the three seasons that have followed, Bissouma has made 100 appearances in all competitions, 79 of those coming in the Premier League.
However, the recent signing of former Fulham midfielder João Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich has seen Bissouma’s place in Spurs’ midfield put into question.
Thomas Frank addresses Yves Bissouma Tottenham Hotspur future
Spurs manager Thomas Frank has discussed the rumours surrounding Bissouma’s future.
He said: “I will be surprised if anyone is leaving us now so… Bissouma is part of the squad”.
With games in both the Premier League and Champions League, they will need all the depth they can get and Bissouma will hope to be a part of that.
