Man United look to be making moves early on in the Transfer Window this summer.
After the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, all the talk is about how Ruben Amorim will shape his squad for the new season.
Following several discussions today, it looks like United are about to get their man.
The allure of United may not have diminished just yet as many would suggest.
It’s football’s worst kept secret that the Red Devils need more firepower up front, and they may just be about to get it.
David Ornstein has this evening reported that Man United have now agreed terms with Wolves for the transfer of Matheus Cunha.
The £62.5m release clause has been met with an agreed payment structure, following club-to-club talks opening on Tuesday.
Wolves have given Man United permission to conclude the deal for the 26 year old Brazilian, conduct a medical and complete the transfer.
There is hope a deal can be concluded for when the transfer window opens on June 1st.
Following a lacklustre season, this is a real statement of intent from United, signing one of the most sought after players in the Premier League.
Matheus Cunha has had a phenomenal season at Wolves, scoring 17 goals in 34 matches across all competitions.
He was rewarded for his good form with a new contract in February until 2029.
Cunha no doubt has the quality and footballing arrogance to become a hit at United.
However some big money signings have struggled to handle the pressure of playing at the Theatre of the Dreams.
Will Cunha become a major success for the Red Devils, or another to succumb to the grand name of Man United?
