Harry Kane could be on the move again next summer. There are reports suggesting the Bayern Munich forward is open to a return to the Premier League.
Kane left Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 in pursuit of major honours. And he achieved that goal in his debut season at Bayern.
The England captain scored 26 goals in 31 league appearances to help Vincent Kompany’s side win the Bundesliga title.
He has since added the German Super Cup to his collection. And he now has 98 goals in 103 competitive games for the club.
Despite his success in Germany, questions are beginning to surface about Kane’s long-term future at the Allianz Arena.
As per The Sun, Kane could leave Bayern at the end of the 2025–26 season. And quite obviously, several Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation closely.
Also, Barcelona are preparing for life after Robert Lewandowski. They view Kane as a possible replacement. However, a return to England is seen as a realistic outcome.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United have all monitoring Kane’s situation at Bayern.
But the England captain wants to join a special club if he returns to the Premier League. As per reports, a return to Tottenham Hotspur is considered the ‘most likely’ option should Kane decide to move on.
Kane has already achieved his goal of ending his trophy drought, but he may now be targeting individual records.
The 32-year-old is currently second on the all-time Premier League scoring list with 213 goals in 317 appearances. He is 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s record of 260.
It is a milestone Harry Kane wants to surpass before retiring. He turns 33 next summer. But his current form shows no signs of decline.
Kane has started the 2025–26 season with 13 goals in his first seven matches.
As it stands if he does return to the Premier League, the goal of breaking Shearer’s record will be at the heart of that decision.
