Bayern Munich secret clause facilitate Harry Kane Premier League return

Harry Kane

Harry Kane could be set for a shock return to the Premier League next summer. As per German reports, there is a clause in his Bayern Munich contract that may allow him to leave the club in 2026.

Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. The England captain has since become a key figure at the Allianz Arena.

In just over two seasons, Kane has scored 98 goals in 103 appearances. He helped the club win the Bundesliga and German Super Cup.

The former Tottenham striker has started the 2025–26 campaign in outstanding form. So far, he has scored 13 goals in his first 7 matches under head coach Vincent Kompany.

Harry Kane has publicly stated that he is happy with life in Munich. However, speculations about a possible Harry Kane return to England have persisted.

Kane remains just 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260 goals. The Bayern striker has never ruled out the possibility of returning to English football.

According to Bild, Kane’s Bayern contract includes a clause that could faciliate a move next summer.

The reported clause would allow him to leave for a fee of £56.7 million. But he must inform the club of his decision before the end of the January transfer window.

Kane is currently under contract until 2027. But Bayern are aware he may not extend his deal beyond that point.

The England captain wants to eventually complete unfinished business in the Premier League. He has an aim of surpassing Alan Shearer.

Bayern are expected to open talks over a possible contract extension. The German giants are hoping to end any speculation surrounding Kane’s long-term future.

For now, the striker remains focused on winning more trophies in Germany. However, next summer, the situation is open for Kane as Barcelona could target him to replace Robert Lewandowski.
