Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to be active in the January transfer window. Plans are already in place as the club look to climb the Premier League table in the second half of the season.
Spurs are expected to have a significant budget available. Reports last week suggested a £150 million war chest has been set aside for the winter window.
That would give Thomas Frank room to address multiple areas. A recent win at Crystal Palace eased some pressure.
However, Tottenham Hotspur remain 11th in the table. Liverpool sit seven points clear in fourth. Spurs are still targeting a Champions League place and want to strengthen quickly.
According to the Standard, the club have identified three main targets. The focus is on goalkeeper, winger, and attacking depth.
Guglielmo Vicario has made several costly errors in recent weeks. Because of that, Spurs are monitoring Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Barcelona keeper has dropped down the pecking order and wants regular football ahead of the World Cup.
In the attack, Spurs are once again looking at Manchester City. They failed to land Savinho in the summer.
But attention has now shifted to Omar Marmoush. He joined City last January but has mainly featured as a substitute this season.
Another name under consideration is Samu Aghehowa. That move would be expensive, as his release clause is believed to be around £87 million.
Spurs are also tracking Kenan Yildiz of Juventus. He is viewed as a long-term attacking option.
As January is approaching fast, the Spurs believe the next few weeks could define their season.
🚨 Tottenham Hotspur are targeting a new attacker in January as they look to overcome their lack of creativity and goals in the squad.
Two options they’ve talked about internally are:
