Real Madrid are once again going through a transition period. After bringing Xabi Alonso as their manager, the Los Blancos thought that the Spaniard could replicate his success in Germany.

Alonso won the Bundesliga as the Bayer Leverkusen manager. However, La Liga became a different ball game for the Spaniard. Also, the recent results didn’t help either.

So, when Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, the Madrid giants had to make a decision. Thus, they decided to mutually part ways.

After that, they appointed Alvaro Arbeloa as their next manager with a contract till 2027. His managerial tenure started with a shocking defeat to Albacete in the Copa del Rey.

However, Los Blancos have recovered from the setback to secure three points in La Liga against Levante. Now, the attention turns towards the transfer market.

With the January transfer window open, Real Madrid could make a move to back Arbeloa. However, it seems that Florentino Perez will wait until next summer.

Although Madrid has given Arbeloa a permanent role, uncertainty still surrounds his position at the club. One of the main reasons for that is Jurgen Klopp.

The former Liverpool boss has emerged as the leading candidate to take over from Arbeloa if he slips up this season.

Now, Madrid are also planning for the next summer transfer window where they will be very action. And, they have also confirmed the first signing for next summer.

According to Defensa Central, Florentino Perez has confirmed Real Madrid’s first of 2026 will Nico Paz. The Como midfielder has impressed a lot since leaving Valdebebas in 2024.

Madrid have a €10 million buyback clause, which they will activate next summer. With the first signing of 20226 already confirmed, Real Madrid will look to finish this season strong.
