A couple of Premier League stars were involved in a car crash while travelling to the airport to join the team ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash.

In the final matchday of the Champions League preliminary round, all Premier League participants will be in action at the same time.

Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City will play at home. And, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Chelsea will be playing away games.

After finishing training, one Tottenham star was travelling to join the rest of the team before they would fly to Germany, as per The Sun.

He was driving to Stansted Airport when a tyre blowout caused him to lose control of his car. The impact was heavy, as the Images later showed.

There was extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, a cracked windscreen, and the driver’s airbag deployed.

Wilson Odobert was travelling in a car behind. He stopped immediately to check on his teammate. Thankfully, Randal Kolo Muani escaped with no serious injury.

Speaking afterwards in the press conference, manager Thomas Frank insisted there were no mental concerns around the pair and confirmed both should be fit.

Still, the broader picture remains troubling. With just 11 senior outfield players available, pressure is mounting on the Danish boss.

As if that incident alone was not enough, Tottenham’s injury list continued to grow. The manager was already dealing with the absence of Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven.

Both are out of the Champions League clash. A hamstring issue has sidelined Porro for around a month. Also, Van de Ven has a minor issue, though not related to his previous muscle problems.

Tottenham can still secure a place in the last 16 with a win in Germany. But even that achievement may struggle to mask a season that keeps finding new ways to skid off course.
