Over the last few years, the Saudi Pro League clubs have successfully persuaded top European talents to join their league. And, this mass exodus started with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Since Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr, the Saudi Pro League clubs have aggressively moved for star players. So, they were able to sign players like Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman, and many others in their prime.

Now, they are eyeing a move for an England star. Harry Kane is attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia as his Bayern Munich contract continues to run down.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has enjoyed a sensational spell at the Allianz Arena since his move in 2023. However, Kane now has just 18 months left on his current deal.

According to German outlet Kicker, both Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad are considering a move for Kane ahead of the summer transfer window.

Al-Ittihad are searching for a new marquee name after losing Karim Benzema to Al-Hilal in January. There are reports that Saudi clubs could look to activate a £61 million release clause in Kane’s contract.

From Bayern Munich’s perspective, there is no desire to lose their star forward.  The Bavarians are already in talks with Kane over a new deal.

Their director, Max Eberl, recently addressed the situation during a press conference (via ESPN).

“We are talking, that doesn’t mean negotiations have started. We are in intensive talks with Harry, then the next steps will follow.”

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed that stance. He added:

“Harry has great confidence in us, and he feels comfortable in Munich. He and his family are settled in. Therefore, we’ve got absolutely no reason to rush.”

The 32-year-old has scored 38 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season. He also found the net twice in Bayern’s 5-1 win over Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Bayern Munich now sit six points clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga and remain firmly on course for another league title.
