Sam Allardyce linked with stunning return to the Premier League

Sam Allardyce

Sam Allardyce has been linked with a stunning return to the Premier League. The 71-year-old has managed nine clubs in the Premier League.

Till now, he holds the record for managing the most Premier League clubs. His most successful run as manager came with Bolton Wanderers.

During his time with Bolton, he guided them to Europe. Also, he had a brief stint with the England national team.

His last Premier League job was with Leeds United in 2023. During that four-month run, he failed to prevent Leeds’ relegation.

It was his last managerial role. But time and time again, he has claimed that he is looking to return to the Premier League as a manager.

Currently, he is working as a pundit and features frequently on talkSPORT and also runs a podcast called No Tippy Tappy Football.

However, Sam Allardyce is now once again linked with a return to the Premier League. Football365 has linked Sam Allardyce to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Recently, the Spurs sacked Thomas Frank after losing to Newcastle United at home. The Danish manager was going through a rough patch.

He ended his tenure as the Spurs boss with the worst win percentage of all big-six managers. He surpassed Ruben Amorim, who got sacked by Manchester United recently.

Now, the Spurs are looking to find a solution. They can take the route of Manchester United and appoint an interim manager to take them through till next season.

In the summer, they could look to sign a permanent boss. Now, if Sam Allardyce becomes the next Spurs boss, then he will have to ensure Tottenham don’t get relegated.

The Spurs are 16th in the Premier League table and five points ahead of the relegation zone.

Therefore, their next manager’s first goal would be to ensure that the Spurs finish in the top-flight for next season.
