England entered their second match of the 2026 World Cup hoping to build on the momentum from their thrilling opening victory over Croatia.
Thomas Tuchel’s side arrived in Boston full of confidence after scoring four goals in their first outing and sat in a strong position in Group L.
However, the match against Ghana failed to deliver the same excitement. England were held to a frustrating goalless draw as they struggled to break down a disciplined Ghana side.
Despite remaining top of the group, the performance left many supporters wanting more from the Three Lions.
While the action on the pitch failed to capture the imagination, plenty of attention shifted to the stands.
Several famous faces attended the match in Boston, including Hollywood actress Alexandra Daddario.
The Baywatch and True Detective star was among the spectators supporting England during the World Cup encounter.
Daddario embraced the occasion by wearing an England shirt and cap as she watched the match unfold. However, it was one of her social media posts during the game that quickly caught attention.
The actress spotted David Beckham watching the match from one of the hospitality boxes inside the stadium.
She then took a playful photograph that made the former England captain appear tiny in the distance.
Beckham appeared to enjoy the joke and responded with a thumbs-up as the picture was taken.
Daddario later shared the image with her 22.6 million Instagram followers, and the post quickly generated plenty of reactions online.
Meanwhile, Beckham watched as England endured a difficult evening on the pitch.
Despite the disappointing result, England remain in control of their group and will now turn their attention to their final group-stage fixture against Panama.
For Daddario, though, the trip to Boston delivered a memorable World Cup moment, thanks to one cheeky photograph involving one of England’s most famous football icons.
