Some careers reach a natural end point.
Trophies won.
Records broken.
Boots eventually hung up.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s career, at 41 years old, is doing none of those things.
He’s still playing, still setting records.
Still winning trophies.
And now, in a development that adds a dimension nobody could have fully predicted, he is set to become a co-owner of Al Nassr.
The club where his remarkable final chapter has been playing out.
Cristiano Ronaldo set to become co-owner of Al Nassr
According to aawsat_spt, Ronaldo is set to acquire a stake in Al Nassr, becoming a co-owner of the Saudi Pro League club he has called home since arriving from Manchester United in January 2023.
The move comes as part of a broader ownership restructuring across the top clubs in Saudi football.
And it’s within that restructuring that Ronaldo’s ownership stake is understood to be taking shape.
Representing a natural extension of his deepening involvement with the club’s long-term project.
Ronaldo is no stranger to the idea of football ownership.
Earlier this year, he completed a co-ownership investment in UD Almeria in Spain.
Describing it as a “longtime ambition of mine to contribute to football, beyond the pitch.”
That deal, completed via CR7 Sports Investments gave him a foothold in the Spanish football pyramid.
The Al Nassr stake would go significantly further.
Not a secondary club in the second tier of Spanish football.
His own club.
Ronaldo’s influence at Al Nassr has already extended well beyond the pitch.
Reports have previously indicated that he applied pressure on the club’s hierarchy over management decision.
Obviously, that was the right decision as he won the league this past season.
And that his contract extension in June 2025 was accompanied by assurances about his involvement in the club’s direction.
An ownership stake would formalise that influence in the most significant way possible.
At the same time as heading to the 2026 World Cup with Portugal, Ronaldo is building the foundations of a football empire that will outlast his playing days.
The boots aren’t hung up yet.
But the business empire is already growing.
