Tottenham Hotspur have experienced massive structural changes both on and off the pitch over the last year.
The club endured a disastrous 2025/26 Premier League campaign after narrowly avoiding relegation.
Spurs eventually finished 17th in the table before beginning a major rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi.
Meanwhile, significant changes also continued behind the scenes following Daniel Levy’s departure as Tottenham chairman last summer.
Levy spent nearly 25 years overseeing Tottenham and played a huge role in transforming the club commercially during his time in charge.
Even after stepping down as chairman, however, the 64-year-old still maintained strong ties to Spurs through his ownership stake in ENIC, the company that controls Tottenham Hotspur.
ENIC currently owns 86.91 per cent of the football club, while Levy personally held a 29.88 per cent share in ENIC itself through his family trust.
Over recent months, speculation continued growing around the possibility of Levy reducing or selling his stake in the company. Now, that move has officially happened.
Eight Sports Capital have confirmed that they reached a sale and purchase agreement to acquire a 24.99 per cent interest in ENIC from the trustee of Daniel Levy’s family trust.
As a result, Levy’s ownership stake in ENIC has now dropped significantly to just 4.89 per cent.
The deal also means that Eight Sports Capital effectively become indirect owners of Tottenham Hotspur through ENIC’s majority control of the club.
With ENIC holding 86.91 per cent ownership of Spurs, Eight Sports Capital’s new 24.99 per cent stake in the company effectively gives them an indirect 21.7 per cent ownership position in Tottenham.
So, this latest development represents one of the biggest ownership shifts involving Tottenham Hotspur in recent years.
