Yesterday, Transfer News Live revealed that an international star was arrested in London on suspicion of assault and affray.

Now, the name of that international star has come out, and he is none other than Ivan Toney. A video emerged on the same incident showing police arresting Toney.

The incident happened in the packed Soho venue on early Saturday morning. A witness narrated the event to The Sun.

According to the witness, a fan wanted to take a selfie with the England international. However, Toney thought he was being attacked. The witness said:

“He [Toney] walked past a table of a group of lads.

“One of them recognised him and said, ‘Oh, it’s Ivan Toney’ and tried to put his hands around his neck to get a photo with him.

“And then Toney has said, ‘Get off me, get off me’ and ended up headbutting one of the guys.”

Ivan Toney wore a chain and a nice watch. The former Brentford man thought that the person wanted to snatch his chain or watch.

Five police officers arrived at the scene after 30 minutes. The Police went to Toney’s table to ask his name and inform him that he was ‘under arrest for assault’.

The England footballer has been bailed since his arrest. Ivan Toney’s representatives declined to comment on the incident.

The 29-year-old now plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.  However, many Premier League clubs are eyeing a move for the £40 million star.

Now, it will be interesting to see whether Toney stays in Saudi Arabia or returns home to the Premier League.

Toney has a contract with Al-Ahli until 2028, and in his debut season, he has already won the AFC Champions League Elite.
