Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has pleaded guilty to driving without due care or attention following an incident in Cheshire.
Pickford remains a central figure for Everton. He became the club’s Player of the Season for his performances during the 2025/26 campaign.
The England goalkeeper has since started his tenth season on Merseyside and recently recorded his 100th Premier League clean sheet.
However, the 32-year-old is now facing court proceedings following an incident involving his £200,000 Lamborghini Urus.
According to The Independent, Pickford pleaded guilty after an incident in Knutsford on April 14.
Court documents state that a police officer saw Pickford’s blue Lamborghini approach the junction between Princess Street and Toft Road.
The officer alleged that the vehicle ignored give-way lines before entering Toft Road, forcing two other vehicles to brake heavily to avoid a collision.
Pickford then drove away before the officer activated his lights and siren and followed the Lamborghini.
The police officer stated that he reached 50mph during the pursuit on a road with a 30mph speed limit while Pickford’s vehicle continued pulling away.
Pickford subsequently appeared to notice the police vehicle and stopped. The Everton goalkeeper later pleaded guilty in writing through the Single Justice Procedure to driving without due care or attention.
He has requested an opportunity to attend court and present mitigation before his punishment is determined. The case was formally adjourned last week.
Pickford will now appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on December 7. The incident comes during another significant season for the goalkeeper at club and international level.
Pickford has made 336 appearances for Everton and has also accumulated 92 England caps.
His long-term Everton future remains secured by a contract running until June 2029, but he must now await the outcome of December’s court hearing following his guilty plea.
