Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest players to have played this beautiful game. As a footballer, he is right up there with the best players of all time.
The Portuguese sensation is now chasing 1000 goals in his career. He wants to achieve that before he retires. He has won almost everything a footballer can imagine.
However, the biggest prize in football, the FIFA World Cup, is still something he wants to win. He will get his chance next year, as his national team, Portugal, has made it to the finals.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in different cities of the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico. Most of those games will be played in US cities.
And, recently, Cristiano Ronaldo visited the USA, not for footballing reasons but for diplomatic reasons. He was there with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Donald Trump hosted the party where Ronaldo got to meet the President of the United States. It was something Ronaldo wanted, as he expressed it during an interview with Piers Morgan.
The 40-year-old also posted an epic selfie where he was seen with the lines of Elon Musk and Gianni Infantino.
Later, Ronaldo also posted a video where he was seen walking side-by-side with President Trump and his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez.
However, the opposition of Donald Trump didn’t take Ronaldo’s stance alongside Trump lightly. So, they decided to send their message, which can be a call for Ronaldo’s rival to join them.
The Official Democrats Instagram account posted an insane video that can be seen as anti-Ronaldo. They posted a video portraying their stance on the age-old Messi-Ronaldo debate.
The Democrats are taking the side of Lionel Messi, as Ronaldo has taken the side of Donald Trump.
It will be interesting to see the response when Cristiano Ronaldo comes back to the US to lead Portugal one-final time with the goal of lifting the coveted FIFA World Cup.
