Pressure has been mounting on Thomas Frank after a difficult start to his spell at Tottenham Hotspur. The Spurs currently sit 14th in the Premier League table.

They suffered a damaging late defeat to West Ham Unitedat the weekend. That result has left them nine points adrift of the Champions League places.

Thomas Frank has just one league win from his last seven outings as the Tottenham manager. Frustration inside the stadium was clear.

Fans booed the Danish manager as he walked down the tunnel following the West Ham loss, while chants of “sacked in the morning” rang around the ground.

Meanwhile, the Spurs’ captain Cristian Romero did not hold back when addressing the situation at full-time. Romero said:

“At this moment, this is a disaster for us. We played sometimes good, sometimes bad. We must work hard and go again. It’s a difficult moment for us. We are not the best on the pitch.”

However, Europe has offered slight relief. Spurs sit 11th in the Champions League standings ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Dortmund, who are just one place above them.

Importantly, Tottenham are only one point outside the top eight, which would secure automatic qualification for the last 16.

According to The Athletic, the Spurs have decided to keep Thomas Frank in charge for their upcoming Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.

Now, the Tottenham hierarchy are reviewing Frank’s position. However, any final decision has been delayed, with no immediate change planned before the Dortmund fixture.

Thomas Frank will face the media on Monday before taking charge of what could prove to be a defining night for his Spurs tenure.

Unless Frank can turn things around, his position is slowly becoming untenable at North London due to fan pressure.
