Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways against Brentford in midweek. Playing at home, Thomas Frank’s men got three points against his old club.

Goals from Richarlison and Xavi Simons helped the Spurs get a positive result. However, things have become worse for a Tottenham player with the latest report from The Sun.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is facing renewed disciplinary action after being filmed inhaling nitrous oxide at a party. This comes a year after he was suspended for the same behaviour.

Spurs confirmed they have opened an internal investigation against Yves Bissouma. Also, supporters noted that Bissouma has suddenly removed all references to the club from his Instagram profile.

The new footage, reportedly recorded in the early hours of November 3, was shared with a woman invited to the gathering. She said:

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Bissouma was openly inhaling from the balloon even though he had been in trouble before for doing this.”

Last summer, Bissouma was suspended after posting videos of himself using “hippy crack” on Snapchat, later issuing an apology in which he said:

“This was a severe lack of judgment. I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved.”

So, the 29-year-old Mali international now risks far stronger sanctions. Nitrous oxide is classified as a Class C drug, with illegal supply carrying penalties of up to 14 years in prison.

The midfielder has already endured a turbulent season, missing out through injury and previously being dropped for “persistent lateness”. A Spurs spokesperson said:

“We are looking into the events, and it will be dealt with as an internal matter.”

Bissouma, signed for £30 million from Brighton, had been working towards a return from injury and hoped to feature at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Thus, his future at Spurs now appears increasingly uncertain. So, a January move could be on the cards for the Mali international.
