So far this summer, Wolverhampton Wanderers have already lost three key players.
Rayan Ait-Nouri joined Manchester City, whilst Matheus Cunha went across town to sign for Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Nelson Semedo departed the club as a free agent after five years.
Needless to say, these are three crucial players who will each need replacing.
Well, it seems as if they are now going to replace one of those players.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have agreed a deal with AZ Alkmaar to sign left-back David Moller Wolfe.
He states that the player is due to travel for a medical in the next 24 hours – and that they beat Lille to the signing.
Wolfe impressed with his performances in the Eredivise last season, providing five assists from full-back.
The 23-year old is a regular for the Norwegian national team, and recently started during a 3-0 win over Italy in World Cup qualifying.
During that game, Jorgen Strand Larsen came off the bench – the two will now be team mates at Wolves.
No doubt having a compatriot at the club will help Wolfe settle in as quickly as possible.
Wolves fans had been growing tireless at their transfer window, so this will go a way to easing frustrations.
Beating a club the size of Lille to the signing can only please the fans too.
A much needed statement of intent from Vitor Pereria’s side.
