Zlatan Ibrahimovic has never been far from the spotlight.

Even after retiring in 2023, the Swedish icon has remained a central figure in football.

Whether through interviews, or his personality, he continues to command attention.

Now, he is set for a new stage.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic lands major TV role

According to The Sun, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be part of the broadcast team for the 2026 World Cup, taking on a punditry role with US network Fox Sports.

It is a move that feels almost inevitable.

Few players in modern football have carried the same presence as Ibrahimovic.

Across a career spanning more than two decades, he played for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

He also won league titles in multiple countries, scoring over 500 career goals.

But it was never just about the numbers.

His personality, and a constant ability to dominate headlines is what made him stand out from the rest.

That is exactly what broadcasters are now buying into.

The report states that Ibrahimovic will join Fox Sports’ World Cup coverage team, with the tournament set to take place across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

His role is expected to be as a studio analyst.

The announcement was made through a promotional video, with Ibrahimovic delivering a message in typical fashion.

“I bring the American people some good news,” he said.

“Not only is the World Cup coming, so is Zlatan.”

That tone has been a mainstay in his identity for decades.

Sweden have not yet confirmed qualification for the World Cup.

But regardless of that outcome, Ibrahimovic will still be there.

Just in a different role.

For Fox, it is a statement signing.

However, for Zlatan, it is simply another stage.
