Manchester City made a good start to their 2025/26 Premier League campaign by dispatching Wolves by 4-0 at Molineux.
However, they were rocked by Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at the Etihad. The Citizens will be looking to recover from their shock when they face Brighton and Hove Albion this week.
But before that game, they have some transfer business to settle. Many of their players are tipped to leave the club before the transfer window shuts.
Manchester City winger Savinho is linked with a move to Spurs. However, the Citizens are reluctant to let the Brazilian leave.
However, they are ready to part ways with another Brazilian, Ederson. Pep Guardiola has already signed James Trafford. But his performance against the Spurs was far from convincing.
That is why they are looking for another goalkeeper, with Gianluigi Donnarumma as the firm favourite to replace Ederson.
Ederson has been linked with a move to Galatasaray. The Turkish giants are also looking to sign another player for the Citizens.
Galatasaray have already agreed on a deal to sign Manuel Akanji from City. However, they are set to face competition from the Italian giants, AC Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Massimiliano Allegri wants to sign a new centre-back. Akanji is one of the names on their shortlist of potential centre-back targets.
The Rossoneri have made an enquiry about the condition of the deal to sign Akanji. The Swiss centre-back is yet to give the green light for the Galatasaray move.
AC Milan will now have to convince the player before sealing the deal with Manchester City to bring Manuel Akanji to San Siro.
