After a long season with an unprecedented Club World Cup tournament in the summer, it is expected to be a big summer for Bayern Munich.
Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof joined for low six figures fees from Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
Meanwhile, Leroy Sané joined Galatasaray on a free, whilst Thomas Müller departed after 17 years in the first team.
The next departure is now said to be on the verge of happening, although it is someone more lowkey.
According to reports out of Germany, forgotten winger Bryan Zaragoza is set to return to Spain on loan.
He will be joining Celta Vigo, with an obligation to buy if certain requirements are met.
In January of 2024, Bayern signed Zaragoza from Granada, but he played just 184 minutes for the remainder of the season, just over two games worth of game time.
That summer, he was loaned to Osasuna, where he scored one goal and provided six assists in 27 league games.
It was always going to be tough for a non English or German speaking player to settle at Bayern.
There are no Spanish speakers at the club, so nobody to talk to and hang around with.
Furthermore, he signed for Thomas Tuchel, who left the club mere months later.
With the pending signing of Luis Diaz, there really is no chance for the Spanish winger in Munich, and it is clear he needs a move for the sake of his own career – especially in a World Cup year.
He is still just 23-years old, so time is on his side to get things back on track.
A permanent move back home may be just what is needed to do that.
🚨⤵️ More exclusive details on Bryan #Zaragoza: €13m obligation to buy will be triggered based on a realistic number of appearances, and Celta Vigo finishing at least between 11th and 13th in the league table. 🇪🇸 https://t.co/GCADyYieMm
