It’s going to be all change for Everton next season.
After playing at Goodison Park since 1892, the men’s team will now be playing in a brand-new arena.
They will play their home games next season at the newly built Hill Dickinson Stadium, holding a capacity of 52.888.
Whilst they will play in a brand-new stadium, there is a familiar face in the dugout.
David Moyes was hired in January, returning after an absence of over a decade.
Arriving in 2002, Moyes left the club in 2013 for Manchester United.
However, his time in Manchester ended eight months into a six-year contract.
Whilst subsequent spells as Real Sociedad and Sunderland did not go to plan, he rebuilt his reputation with West Ham.
During his second spell as Hammers boss, he brought them their first European trophy since 1965.
Jarrod Bowen’s 90th minute winner sealed a 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the 2023 UEFA Conference League final.
This was also their first trophy since winning the 1980 FA Cup final.
The win also brought Moyes the first major trophy in his managerial career.
He has seen Everton’s form improve since returning in January.
Everton had four wins in his first six Premier League games back in charge and ended the season with a draw and three wins.
They will look to build on their 13th place finish in the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
With Crystal Palace winning their first ever major trophy in 2025 and Newcastle ending a 70-year drought, this will give Everton fans hope that they can end their own silverware hoodoo.
They last won a trophy in the 1995 FA Cup final and subsequent Charity Shield.
They led within the first minute in the 2009 FA Cup final against Chelsea thanks to Louis Saha but ultimately lost 2-1 at Wembley.
Moyes never got to another final with Everton during his first tenure and will hope that this can change during his second spell.
So far, they have only signed one player in this summer’s transfer window.
Argentine midfielder Carlos Alcaraz made his loan permanent after impressing for the Toffees.
There could be another name about to join the blue half of Merseyside.
Everton agree deal for Premier League defender
According to reports, Everton have agreed to sign ex-Fulham defender Kenny Tete.
Having failed to agree a new deal with Fulham, he will join Everton on a free transfer.
Tete, 29, will likely join on a three-year deal.
🚨🔵 EXCLUSIVE: Everton have reached verbal agreement to sign Kenny Tete as free agent, three year deal in place.
Contract until June 2028 and formal steps to follow next week.
