An exciting signing

Despite a very busy transfer window in general, Fulham have been incredibly quiet.

Until today, the only signing was back up keeper Benjamin Lecomte from Montpellier for £500,000.

Andreas Pereira’s departure for Palmeiras on Friday was their first departure of the summer too.

Since then, Martial Godo has left for Strasbourg, but that is the only other in or out so far.

However, that appears to be changing.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Fulham are set to sign Samuel Chukwueze from Serie A giants AC Milan.

He reports that it will be a loan deal with an option to buy. The total package could reach more than 25 million Euros.

The player is at the training ground now after completing a medical.

Well, it was clear that Fulham needed signings.

Marco Silva has previously said that standing still is moving backwards.

With the newly promoted clubs showing ambition, Fulham will be one of the clubs looking over their shoulders.

You would think they will be fine, but you can never be too sure – and with signings like this, they give themselves a better chance.

Chukwueze will be joining Nigerian international team mates Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi in West London.

Which isn’t too ideal during an Africa Cup of Nations year.

But overall, still a pretty exciting signing.

Although he has issues with consistency, the winger is electric on his day.

He offers plenty of pace, 1v1 ability, and general flair.

An exciting signing in an otherwise dull summer for Fulham fans.
