Harry Kane has become a part of the Barcelona presidential election. Recently, one candidate promised to bring Kane to Camp Nou if he wins the election, as Transfer News Live reported.
Robert Lewandowski’s contract will expire at the end of this season. So, the Catalan giants might look for another marquee centre forward if the Polish striker leaves.
That is why Harry Kane has become a target for Barcelona. However, they have other names on their list of potential targets.
The Catalan club are eyeing a move for Julian Alvarez as well. However, Atletico Madrid will be eyeing a massive fee for their star forward. The Argentine is in great form this season.
Also, Premier League giants such as Arsenal and Chelsea are eyeing a move for the Atletico star. As a result, his price could skyrocket this summer.
Similarly, Barcelona are also tracking Dusan Vlahovic, who could be available for a free transfer next summer. However, the Serbian is reportedly close to signing a new deal with Juventus.
However, now Harry Kane has made a statement on the recent links with the Barcelona presidential candidate, Xavier Vilajoana. Kane said (via Sky Sports Germany):
“I haven’t heard anything about that. My father and brother haven’t told me anything. I’m very happy here.”
So, it seems, irrespective of his promises, Harry Kane could decide to stay at Bayern Munich, as he is enjoying a prolific goal-scoring spree.
🚨❌ New rumors linking Harry #Kane with FC Barcelona are wide of the mark. Regardless of who becomes president, a move to Barca in the summer currently is neither planned nor realistic.
