Harry Kane has started planning the next step of his career. The English striker has informed his circle that he wants to leave Bayern Munich in the summer of 2026.

By then, he will be 32 and looking for one more big challenge before the end of his career. The forward believes the time will be right to test himself in a new league.

After years in England and a strong spell in Germany, he feels a move to Spain would be the perfect stage to continue proving his value at the very highest level.

His record backs up that ambition. Kane scored 36 goals in his first season at Bayern, showing his quality and ability to adapt quickly.

As per El Nacional, Barcelona have emerged as the club pushing hardest for his signature.

With Robert Lewandowski’s contract set to end in 2026, the Catalan side are searching for a successor who can take over in attack without lowering the standard.

Hansi Flick and the sporting director Deco see Kane as the best option to lead the team into a new cycle.

It would also allow young stars like Lamine Yamal to keep developing with a striker who draws defenders and creates space for others.

Transfer News Live earlier reported that Barcelona have had their eyes on Kane for months, and the links have only grown stronger.

For Kane himself, the appeal is clear. Playing at Camp Nou and leading a new era in La Liga excites him. The deal could be more realistic than many expect.

Kane’s contract at Bayern expires in 2027. It means the German champions would likely prefer to negotiate a fee rather than lose him for free. So, Barcelona see that as an opening to strike.

Replacing Lewandowski will not be easy. But with Harry Kane on their radar, the club believes they have found the best solution.
