Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Igor Tudor to steady the ship. Last season, the Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League.
This season, they are 16th and five points above the relegation zone. That is why they had to sack Thomas Frank.
They signed the Danish manager from Brentford after sacking Ange Postecoglou, a manager who won the Europa League last season.
Yet, they had to sack their manager again. Now, they have appointed Igor Tudor as an interim manager. They are planning to appoint their next permanent boss in the summer.
However, the former Juventus boss is already planning to stay way more than these next few months. Tudor is eyeing a permanent role by giving the Spurs a strong finish.
The Croatian knows that he will not get new signings as of now because the transfer window is closed. But he has started planning for the summer.
The 47-year-old has started demanding new signings already. And if he becomes the next permanent manager for the Spurs, he wants the club to sign an Italian international.
According to Calciomercato, Igor Tudor has told Tottenham Hotspur to sign Lorenzo Pellegrini next summer. The attacking midfielder has been instrumental for AS Roma this season.
In 17 Serie A games this season, Pellegrini has already had five goal involvements. Also, the best thing is that the midfielder will be available for a free transfer next summer.
His contract with Roma will expire in June. Now, the Spurs will face competition from Newcastle United for his signature. Also, there have been talks of a renewal with Roma.
Now, if he doesn’t renew the contract and Tudor becomes the permanent boss, then Pellegrini could become the first signing of the Spurs next summer.
