Jose Mourinho is already planning changes at Real Madrid after agreeing his return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Portuguese manager will begin his second spell in Madrid next summer following his departure from Benfica.
Mourinho now wants to rebuild parts of the squad after Real Madrid endured a disappointing campaign.
Reports in Spain suggest the former Manchester United boss wants to strengthen his attack before next season.
Real Madrid struggled for consistency in the final third at times this year despite the likes of Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
Mourinho reportedly wants more pace, directness, and flexibility across the frontline as part of his rebuild.
Now, according to SPORT, Mourinho wants Real Madrid to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer.
The report claims the Portuguese coach identified the England international as one of his priority attacking targets ahead of the transfer window.
Rashford impressed during his loan spell in Spain this season after joining Barcelona from Manchester United.
The forward scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 48 appearances for Hansi Flick’s side across all competitions.
Barcelona want to keep the 28-year-old permanently. However, negotiations with Manchester United have reportedly become complicated.
United want around €30 million for Rashford and remain unwilling to lower their asking price.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are trying to reduce the fee and have even discussed another loan move before making the transfer permanent.
The report claims Mourinho is monitoring the situation closely and could move for Rashford if talks between Barcelona and United continue slowing down.
Manchester United would reportedly welcome another serious bidder entering the race because the club remain determined to sell the forward permanently this summer.
Mourinho also knows Rashford well from their previous time together at Old Trafford. He has always admired the attacker’s pace and versatility.
However, with negotiations stalling and Mourinho now pushing Real Madrid towards the deal, Rashford could soon become the centre of a huge transfer battle in Spain.
