Kylian Mbappe’s long-term future continues to generate speculation despite the French superstar only recently arriving at Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old remains one of the biggest names in world football, and interest surrounding his next career move refuses to disappear.
The forward is preparing for the 2026 World Cup after a turbulent campaign in Spain.
Major changes could take place at the Santiago Bernabeu following another disappointing season by Real Madrid’s standards.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to become the club’s next manager after Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa had short spells at the Bernabeu.
Now, Alonso reportedly maintained a strong relationship with Mbappe. The Spaniard will take charge of Chelsea from the beginning of the 2026/27 season.
Meanwhile, Mbappe’s scored 25 La Liga goals in 31 appearances and added another 15 goals in just 11 Champions League matches.
Despite still having three years remaining on his Real Madrid contract, reports continue linking him with a possible move to the Premier League in the future.
According to talkSPORT, Liverpool could hold a unique advantage in any future race for Kylian Mbappe because of his mother’s long-standing admiration for the club.
Journalist Julien Laurens discussed the situation while speaking on Hawksbee and Jacobs on talkSPORT. The journalist said:
“I think Real Madrid was always the dream and he’s got a long-term contract.
“He’s 27 going on 28. I think I can see him staying there for a long time, but I don’t think it’s impossible to see him leave at some point.
“We know that Liverpool is the club that his mum loves. They were the team they watched the most and really loved.”
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe himself previously admitted that Liverpool came close to signing him earlier in his career.
Now, although a move remains highly speculative, Liverpool’s long-standing connection with the Mbappe family continues to fuel rumours over a potential Premier League switch in the future.
