Leeds United are continuing to strengthen their squad after successfully securing another season in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side finished 14th last term and now want to add greater quality and depth before the new campaign begins.
The Yorkshire club are expected to target young players capable of making an immediate impact while also offering long-term potential.
Meanwhile, Barcelona could provide an opportunity after several promising talents found first-team minutes difficult to secure last season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Leeds United are interested in signing Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji on loan for the 2026-27 season.
The report states that Barcelona are ready to sanction a temporary departure after the arrival of Anthony Gordon pushed Bardghji further down the attacking pecking order.
However, the Catalan club have not yet received an official offer. Bardghji joined Barcelona from Copenhagen last summer and featured 28 times in all competitions during his debut campaign.
He scored two goals and registered four assists, while also making five appearances in the Champions League.
Despite those opportunities, the Sweden international has failed to become a first-choice option under Hansi Flick.
Barcelona therefore believe a loan move could provide the regular minutes needed for his continued development.
The Spanish champions remain determined to retain the 20-year-old beyond this summer. Bardghji’s contract runs until 2029, and the club have no intention of discussing a permanent transfer.
Before moving to Camp Nou, Bardghji scored 15 goals and provided one assist in 84 appearances for Copenhagen.
He also announced himself on the European stage with a memorable Champions League goal during his time in Denmark.
Leeds are yet to formalise their interest, but the report suggests they have already expressed a desire to bring the young attacker to Elland Road.
If Barcelona approve a loan agreement, Bardghji could receive the consistent Premier League football needed to continue his impressive development.
