After Jamal Musiala’s injury affected their attacking options, Bayern Munich couldn’t afford to sit back.
They needed to be active in the market to find a solution. And, they had a perfect player in their mind who could fill in the void.
So, the German champions stepped up. The timing was perfect, and the player himself saw an opportunity.
Barcelona were also eager to sign the player. After facing rejection from Nico Williams earlier, they set their sights on this player.
However, it looks like the Catalan giants will face another disappointment in the transfer market this year.
The primary target they had in mind after Nico Williams has chosen Bayern Munich as his next destination.
The German giants stepped up the talks and in no time they are on the verge of sealing the deal for the player.
As per the reports from the German outlet BILD, Luis Diaz has now agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich ahead of a summer switch.
Diaz played a key role in Liverpool’s title-winning season. Since joining from Porto in 2023, he has been one of their most dangerous weapons on the left flank.
But with new signings arriving at Anfield this summer, his position is no longer guaranteed.
Bayern are yet to agree a fee with Liverpool for Luis Diaz. His contract with the Reds runs till 2027.
Liverpool still want to keep him unless the right offer arrives. But the Colombian seems ready for a new chapter.
Bayern are now in pole position. Unless something unexpected happens, Diaz could soon be swapping Anfield for the Allianz Arena.
Barcelona, once again, will have to go back to the drawing board. They have another Premier League winger in sight in the name of Marcus Rashford.
The Manchester United winger has his heart set on wearing the Blaugrana next season.
So, it looks like agreeing on personal terms will not be an issue there for Hansi Flick’s team.
But, for Luis Diaz, he is set to dazzle the Allianz Arena just like he did at Anfield.
