Liverpool are expected to strengthen their attack this summer as Andoni Iraola begins work at Anfield.
The Spaniard recently arrived on Merseyside and is already assessing where improvements can be made ahead of the new season.
After a disappointing campaign that ultimately cost Arne Slot his job, Liverpool want to return to the top of English football.
The Reds still possess plenty of attacking quality, despite Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield.
However, Iraola is popular for his direct and aggressive style of football and could look to add players who fit his tactical approach.
Liverpool are already tracking several attacking talents in recent weeks. One of those names is Yan Diomande, who continues to attract interest following his rise in Germany.
Yet another option has now emerged on Liverpool’s radar. According to Sport Witness, Liverpool are considering a move for Bournemouth winger Rayan.
The Brazilian only joined the Cherries in January but quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young attackers.
His impact during the second half of the season helped Bournemouth secure qualification for the Europa League. Rayan finished the campaign with five goals and two assists from 15 Premier League appearances.
The 19-year-old’s performances generated significant excitement across England and further enhanced his growing reputation. Liverpool’s interest is understandable.
Iraola knows the winger well from their time together at Bournemouth and has played an important role in his development.
However, Bournemouth are unlikely to make any deal easy. The South Coast club paid £35M to sign Rayan in January and remain in a strong negotiating position.
The winger is under contract until 2031 and reportedly has a £130M release clause that becomes active in January. Liverpool may therefore face a difficult task if they decide to pursue a deal.
