Liverpool remain active in the closing stages of the summer transfer window after completing another major attacking addition.
The Reds have signed Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to £123 million.
The France international adds another option to Andoni Iraola’s frontline, but Liverpool are still pursuing further attacking reinforcements.
The club have also been working on deals for Djylian N’Guessan and young Genk goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans.
Several Liverpool players could leave before the deadline as Iraola continues reshaping his squad.
Stefan Bajcetic is finalising a permanent move to Celta Vigo, while Harvey Elliott has been closing in on a loan switch to Valencia.
Liverpool’s focus has also remained on another Premier League attacker during the final days of the window.
According to the Daily Express, Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr is reportedly refusing to train as he pushes for a move to Liverpool.
The Reds have shown strong interest in Sarr as they look to add even more depth to their attack.
However, another Liverpool bid has reportedly been rejected by Crystal Palace as negotiations continue.
Sarr’s situation has now intensified with the winger said to be staying away from training amid the transfer speculation.
Liverpool have already strengthened significantly with Barcola, but their pursuit of Sarr shows they remain active in the market.
Iraola’s side have started the Premier League season with consecutive draws against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. They drew 2-2 at St James’ Park before recording the same scoreline against Forest at Anfield.
Alexander Isak scored against Forest before Victor Munoz struck late to secure another point. Liverpool now face a race against the deadline if they are to complete another attacking deal involving Sarr.
