Manchester United have had a busy transfer window so far this summer with plenty of incomings and outgoings. They had an underwhelming season last campaign, finishing 15th in the Premier League.

That is why the Manchester-based side is having a primary focus on recruitment this summer in order to push up the table and be competitive next season.

Just to list a couple of key incomings, they have signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

They have also had key departures, which consist of Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona on loan and Christian Eriksen becoming a free agent.

However, Manchester United are still after strikers in order to increase their goal-scoring threat after only scoring 44 goals last season, which is low compared to other sides.

So, from the beginning of the transfer window, Manchester United have had an eye on several strikers, but they still have not gotten one.

According to reports by Alex Crook, Manchester United still have not placed a formal bid for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The next 48 hours are crucial.

The striker has had interest from Newcastle United already this summer, but it is looking like he wants to join the Manchester-based side, with Newcastle having a bid rejected.

The move of Sesko would be a hammer blow for RB Leipzig after impressing last season with 13 goals and 5 assists in 33 matches for the German side.

This would worry fans as the striker contributed to the side finishing mid-table and avoiding relegation in the Bundesliga last campaign.

If Manchester United were to bid, they would be gaining a young, ruthless, and sharp centre forward, which would be especially useful on their side, having them lack a goal-scoring threat at times last campaign.
