On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint Germain will face Spurs in the UEFA Super Cup final in Italy.
Many people are expecting PSG to hammer their English counterparts.
Given the Parisians beat Inter Milan 5-0, many are expecting an even bigger scoreline here.
That said, PSG will be without the suspended Joao Neves.
It looks like they will also be without another key player from their Champions League success.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the French side have excluded Gianluigi Donnarumma from the travelling squad.
The Italian goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move away from the French capital.
Furthermore, Luis Enrique’s side confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille.
With only one year remaining on his contract, PSG will want to cash in on Donnarumma whilst they still can.
This exclusion suggests the writing is on the wall more than ever before. His time in Paris is surely up now.
Although it is clear that Chevalier is a very talented player, there won’t be any Spurs fans gutted about not facing Donnarumma.
The 26-year old was absolutely key in his side’s success last season, making a number of huge saves in the latter stages of the Champions League.
Whilst Thomas Frank’s side will remain heavy underdogs, the game is beginning to at least feel more competitive.
Regardless of opponent, it would be far from ideal for Frank’s first official game to be a hammering.
However, if they can put on a good display, then even if they do go onto to lose, there will be some encouragement.

🚨⚠️ Paris Saint-Germain exclude Gigio Donnarumma from their squad for UEFA Super Cup.
Donnarumma will not sign new deal at PSG, there’s no agreement and he will 100% leave the club, this summer or in 2026 as free agent.
